This sprite of Luigi holding a twig is unique to the Japanese Paper Mario website. I AM THE GOD OF HELL FIRE

Luigi is Mario's brother. He is famous for his immense karmic debt.

Inside the fridge in the Kitchen in Luigi's Mansion, there are boxes of food labeled "food". However, on the opposite wall, visible only through the Game Boy Horror, there is a box where the same texture is mirrored, appearing instead to read "boot" or "boof". The Boos did that to scare Luigi.

History[]

Punch Ball Mario Bros.[]

At some point, humans gained the ability to use tools... At first, they were simple things using the bones of animals and fragments of rock. Using their wisdom, humans improved their tools. Harnessing fire, wind, and nowadays even atomic energy, they began to build up a sophisticated culture.

On the other hand, however, there are people who still only use stone. How do they catch game and defend themselves from outsiders? Using only their strong jumping power and stone spheres. They use those skillfully to defend themselves.

Here, we introduce two such people. It seems their names are Mario and Luigi. Will they ever learn about sophisticated culture?

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time[]

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time has two jokes:

  1. Babies crying, which is very funny at all, and by no means specifically psychologically wired to be annoying.
  2. Luigi being a cosmic hate sink because that's all they want to do with his character.

Punch Ball Mario Tennis[]

One of the side missions finds Parker delivering pizzas for his boss, Mr. Aziz. Parker must deliver the pizzas to potential customers, while trying to keep the pizzas intact as Spider-Man. During the missions, an arrangement of Neapolitan song "Funiculì, Funiculà," composed by Luigi in 1880, plays as Spider-Man delivers the pizzas to his customers.

Later on, Mario and Luigi order crazy pizzas like a hamburger pizza (with actual hamburgers), and a bologna pizza. However, instead of a bologna pizza, Parker prepares a golf pencil pizza, which confuses the brothers.

Paper Mario series[]

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[]

The new and original idea is, what if Nintendo made a remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door with Luigi's adventure as a side mode?

Pay no mind to how the point of the story is not knowing how much is true, and how much was made up to sound cool. For the consistent elements, pay no mind to the utter anticlimax of already knowing how the plot will unfurl.

Pay no mind to the chapters that consist of Luigi playing grass in a play, Luigi driving a racecar one lap before it explodes, and Luigi being in an empty room for a dialogue scene.

Pay no mind to how Paper Mario fans who supposedly crave story originality are salivating over the prospect of The Thousand-Year Door rehashing this plot for a fourth time.

Yes, this is a good idea. Luigi is just that cool.

Super Paper Mario[]

In Super Paper Mario, the writers decided, "okay let's portray this guy as like literally the opposite of Luigi".

They would later execute this idea more successfully, by creating Mr. L.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star[]

In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Luigi appears. We don't know why they put him in, only for him to barely exist, but they did. So, Sticker Star has one thing over Super Mario 64.

Personality[]

I made a longer rant at some point, but I can't find it.

All of the games joke about what a bad character Luigi is. This lazy writing makes everyone sympathetic for him, just because they're also younger siblings and got stuck with him. Meow.
